SHIMA G-Flexx – User Manual and Information

Thank you for choosing SHIMA brand products.

G-Flexx protectors have been developed for motorcyclists as impact protection.

SHIMA G-Flexx protectors comply with the standards: EN 1621-1:2012, EN 1621-2:2014, EN 1621-3:2018.

Mounting

Protectors should be placed in appropriate pockets of outerwear, logo facing away from the body. Incorrect placement may reduce the effectiveness of the protection.

Protectors are not suitable for modification and do not mean that all garments are CE certified.

Positioning of protectors

  • Back: symmetrically in the centre of the back
  • Extremities: larger surface area per joint, do not rotate by 90° or 180°
  • Chest: central, with correct orientation of logo

Storage and cleaning

  • Store in a dry, cool place
  • Remove protectors before washing garments
  • Clean with a damp cloth
  • Replace after damage or heavy impact
  • Recommended replacement every 5 years

Warnings

Protectors only protect against minor injuries caused by blunt impact. They do not provide full protection in extreme conditions.

  • SHIMA G-Flexx products are designed in accordance with EN 1621-1, EN 1621-2 and EN 1621-3 for protection against minor blunt impact injuries.
  • The manufacturer and the vendor are not liable for damage resulting from improper use of the products, including unauthorised modifications.
  • SHIMA protectors do not prevent injuries caused by extreme impact, twisting, bending or crushing forces.
  • Do not use SHIMA protectors outside the certification temperature range - they may not function properly below -20°C or above ambient temperatures.
  • Do not bend, fold, pinch, modify or expose to heat or chemicals.
  • No protector provides complete protection from injury.
  • Central protectors do not protect the shoulder blades; lumbar protectors do not protect the upper back.
  • Do not choose back, chest or shoulder protectors that are too large - they can interfere with the helmet, leading to hazards.
